These General Terms and Conditions apply to enquiries, reservations and stays in our two houses, Hotel Pension Baron am Schottentor and Hotel Pension Baronesse.
Bookings and reservations
Enquiries and reservations are accepted on site, by telephone, in writing or electronically and are generally processed on the same day, at the latest on the next working day. When making a booking, please provide your personal data including date of birth, e-mail address and telephone number. Bookings can only be made by persons aged 18 and over.
The rates and price lists current at the time of booking apply. We accept no liability for data errors on the website or in price lists that are based on slight negligence.
Contract terms: The provisions of the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions (Österreichische Hotelvertragsbedingungen, ÖHVB / AGBH 2006) apply additionally to enquiries, reservations, bookings and stays. Where a parking space on the hotel premises or in the garage is made available to you (including for a charge), this does not constitute a contract of safekeeping; there is no duty of surveillance. We are not liable for the loss of or damage to parked vehicles and their contents, except in the case of intent or gross negligence. Damage must be reported to us without delay.
Cancellation conditions
- Hotel Pension Baron am Schottentor — cancellations up to one day before arrival are free of charge.
- Hotel Pension Baronesse — cancellations up to one day before arrival are free of charge.
For group bookings as well as reservations in the high season or during trade fair periods, the cancellation conditions separately stated in the respective offer apply. The cancellation conditions set out above do not apply to “Non Refundable” bookings.
Legal validity
An order/reservation is confirmed by e-mail; if no confirmation is issued, the booking has not been validly concluded. For online bookings made through our booking partner, there is no right of withdrawal within 14 days under the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Transactions Act (Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz, FAGG) — instead, the above cancellation conditions under the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions (ÖHVB) apply.
All prices stated are inclusive of statutory value added tax; in addition, the local tourist tax (Ortstaxe) applicable at the time is charged per night. Reductions or discounts for early payment are recognised only after prior written confirmation. Multiple promotions, reductions or benefits cannot be combined with one another.
In the event of the loss, theft or invalidation of vouchers, no replacement can be provided. With regard to information, prices and offers published in mailings, brochures or on internet platforms, attention is drawn to the possibility of error.
Complaints
Complaints may be submitted in an appropriate form to the hotel management / company management within 24 hours (1 night). Claims arising from complaints that are only asserted after departure or after the service has been consumed cannot be taken into account.
Liability for links
Our website may contain links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence; we accept no warranty for such third-party content. The respective operator is always responsible for the content of linked pages. Where infringements of the law become known, the links concerned will be removed without delay.

Consumer dispute resolution
Sabina Kavka Gesellschaft m.b.H. is neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body under the Austrian Alternative Dispute Resolution Act (Alternative-Streitbeilegung-Gesetz, AStG).
Final provisions
The place of performance is the registered office of Sabina Kavka Gesellschaft m.b.H., Lange Gasse 61, 1080 Wien. The place of jurisdiction is the court having subject-matter jurisdiction for the registered office of the company.
