- Customer support during and after the stay (e.g. pre-stay e-mail, review request) for the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Newsletter, birthday mailings and our own marketing on the basis of our legitimate interest in customer retention (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), in so far as this is required by law. Consent once given may be withdrawn at any time, without any formal requirements, at res@hotel-baronesse.at.
2.2 Suppliers and business partners
Processing for the initiation and performance of contracts with suppliers or their contact persons (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

3. Recipients and processors
Your data is passed on only in so far as this is necessary for the performance of the contract or required by law, or to the following processors or recipients:
| Recipient | Purpose | Place of processing |
|---|---|---|
| Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany | Web hosting, technical operation of the website and e-mail | Germany (EU) |

4. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Which cookies are used in detail, for what purpose and for how long, as well as your option to withdraw a consent you have given, can be found in our cookie consent tool, which is displayed on your first visit to the website and can be called up again at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the page footer.
5. Data transfer to third countries (USA)
Some of the services named above (in particular Google) also process data in the USA. The European Court of Justice has held that the USA does not have a level of data protection comparable to that of the EU and that there is, in particular, a risk that US authorities may access personal data under surveillance programmes without EU citizens having an effective legal remedy against this. Such a transfer therefore takes place only on the basis of your express consent pursuant to Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR, which you give via our cookie consent tool, and — in so far as provided by the respective provider — on the basis of EU standard contractual clauses.
6. Storage period
Personal data is stored only for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes named under point 2, or for as long as statutory retention obligations (in particular under company law and tax law) exist or limitation periods for possible legal claims have not expired.
7. Your rights
You have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:
- Access to information as to whether and which data about you is processed;
- Rectification of incorrect or incomplete data;
- Erasure of unlawfully processed data;
- Restriction of processing in the cases provided for by law;
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interest and to the use of your data for direct marketing;
- Data portability in a commonly used electronic format;
- Withdrawal of a consent given, with effect for the future.
To exercise these rights, please contact res@hotel-baronesse.at.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority:
